Our desire is to be a reflection of Jesus!
Our desire is to be a reflection of Jesus!

IT'S SIMPLE. LOVE GOD AND LOVE OTHERS

Our mission is to GROW devoted followers of Christ, who KNOW Him personally, SHOW His love relationally, and GO with Him faithfully into our word.

Our church started in the home of Darren and Susan Hales in 2006 and we have grown one family at a time, one relationship at a time.  We believe and teach the Bible with humility and love and we have found the blessing of God as we submit to the wisdom of God.  Just like Two Medicine lake reflects the mountains of Glacier Park (pictured in our header above), our lives are to be a reflection of Jesus Christ!

Our Core Values:

These values reflect how we live out our mission and vision and are the guiding principles of our church.

Transformation: The Gospel transforms lives. In Christ, we are a new creation, so the purpose of preaching, teaching, and relational discipleship is for life change.

Relationships: We value our personal walk with Christ and our relationships with people.  Through relationships we express the love and grace of God and we invest our lives in others.

Enjoyable: We believe that having fun and enjoying life are compatible with holiness and godliness. We want to enjoy all the amazing things God created and live fulfilling lives based on the JOY and HOPE we have in Him. As we walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, we will live abundant lives with a sense of purpose that unifies us.

Simple: We believe our church should reflect simplicity in its organization and structure to provide effective leadership. Our church calendar should reflect simplicity to protect the vitality of families and relationships. Our process and strategy for making disciples should reflect simplicity to fuel the expanse of God’s Kingdom with the Gospel.  Our lives should also reflect simplicity, not overly committed to worldly affairs, so that we can model a walk of faith for our families and be responsive to the spiritual needs of our community.

Biblical: The Bible is our authority for belief and practice. It is the inerrant Word of God.  As we allow the Spirit of God to teach us the TRUTH found in the Bible, we will learn how to live in a manner that pleases God and fulfills our God given purpose.

Reproducible: We believe it is the responsibility of all disciples to be involved in making disciples of others. We are therefore passionate about equipping new discipleship leaders and about starting new discipleship groups.  We believe the goal of each individual family is to model a walk with Christ and to seek to grow the next generation of believers in their home. The goal of our church family is also to train and empower our members to go plant new churches.

Our Covenant

We are members of God’s covenant family and as His worshipers we commit ourselves to Him and to one another, for His glory. Our desire is to be transformed by the power of Christ in our lives and relationships, to serve and exhort one another in biblical community, and to bear witness of God’s grace.

With the enabling of the Holy Spirit, we will live out the mission, vision, and values of our church, with Scripture as our foundation for belief and practice. We will aspire to live a life worthy of the calling we have received, and to be faithful and generous stewards of God’s resources.

We will submit to Christ as the head of the church and to one another out of reverence to Christ. We will earnestly pray for and support our fellowship of believers and its leadership, so that God's plan for us prevails above our own.

Statement of Faith

Confessions of Faith are not a substitute for Scripture, but rather a guide to concisely state the doctrines of the Bible using sound principles of interpretation. They are convictions based on our understanding of the Bible and they are held with humility, as we continually seek the Scriptures to insure our interpretation is accurate. Big Sky Fellowship accepts “The Baptist Faith and Message 2000”as our Confession of Faith.

Affiliations

We are an autonomous church, who is more about making disciples than denominations, but we know the value of relating to ministry partners for missions and support.  We affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Montana Southern Baptist Convention, and the Treasure State Baptist Association in our local area.
